Recently, YOTAI’s self-developed EMS successfully obtained EU cybersecurity certification (EN 18031), making YOTAI one of the first domestic companies in the C&I ESS EMS sector to achieve this certification. This milestone establishes a first-mover advantage for YOTAI’s entry into the EU market and highlights the company’s leading position in ESS EMS and cybersecurity technology.
EN 18031 is the latest cybersecurity standard under the EU Radio Equipment Directive, designed to ensure that devices possess robust cybersecurity capabilities, safeguard personal data privacy, and prevent fraud. The EU made EN 18031 mandatory on August 1, 2025. Products that don’t comply with this standard are prohibited from entering the EU market, significantly increasing the barrier to entry.
Merely one month after the mandatory implementation of EN 18031, YOTAI completed the certification process, becoming one of the first companies in China’s C&I ESS EMS field to obtain EN 18031 certification. All YOTAI products equipped with EMS can now enter the EU market without obstacles. Against the backdrop of escalating compliance barriers, this achievement provides YOTAI with a competitive edge in accessing the EU market.
YOTAI’s self-developed energy storage EMS features integrated hardware and software, deeply integrating the 3S (EMS, BMS, PCS) system architecture. This breaks down traditional protocol barriers, enhances product stability, and reduces control nodes by 50%, thereby lowering failure rates. Leveraging local 512GB data storage capacity, the system supports local big data analysis and enables intelligent “cloud-edge” collaborative data analysis with cloud platforms. This elevates the accuracy of fault prediction to over 95%, while dynamic optimization algorithms maximize operational benefits.
YOTAI has consistently adhered to an internationalization strategy and has successfully delivered projects in multiple European countries, including Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain, Hungary, and Poland. The early compliance of its products will accelerate YOTAI’s expansion across the European market. Moving forward, YOTAI will continue to increase its R&D investments to provide global customers with safer and more efficient integrated solutions for new power systems.
